26 miles away from Utica the sign on the highway says, "once you move in you’ll be treated like family." But that sign couldn't be more wrong. This little town may be quite and pleasant looking, but the residents are far from welcoming.
Rumors spread like wildfire in this close-knit community, and people will stab you in the back as soon as look at you. Everyone has their secrets, and the people of Wellpint are desperate to keep theirs hidden. Despite this – or perhaps because of it – many also find the best friends they’ll ever have. The town seems to have an almost magnetic pull, drawing people from all walks of life. The rich and the poor, the old and the young; they’re all here.
But it’s the young who are the life of the town, causing scandal after scandal. The high school and college are thriving, with more students than ever before - and more students leads to more trouble. Cliques and gangs are forming with bitter rivalries between them, and the youth are turning to sex, drugs and alcohol for entertainment. It's a recipe for disaster, and it's already caused the loss of the prestigious Wellpint Prep school. The police only have the teenagers to blame, but with no proof, everything is stuck in a stalemate.
So this coming school year, the Wellpint Prep kids are forced to go to Hamilton High with the rest of the city kids. I don't know who thought this was a good idea. Just remember to keep your friends close, and your enemies closer.
